Chasing Rapunzel

Princess Middy,
having heard the story of Princess Rapunzel during puppy playtime,
had taken the story to heart and decided the best thing for it
was to just go and find Rapunzel for herself.

Running wildly, towards the castle grounds, that just happened to be next door, Middy, unable to keep her rear legs on the ground, belted it, across the carpark, through the trees, over the wall until she arrived at the all knowing stick in the ground. The one that would tell her the way to Rapunzel and the castle.

The all knowing stick!

Which just actually led to the Ducks, who were confused:
"Go left," the smallest one quacked as he swam away.
"Go right," the nearest one quacked in a hoity-toity tone,
and as for the middle one...

... she was so confused after swimming a few laps of concentric circles,
Middy didn't bother to ask.

Running some more,
Middy encountered a couple of older ducks.
Who may not have been ducks, but may have been fisher men disguised as Ducks,
due to the No Fishing Beyond this Point! (more later)

As they were pointing in the opposite direction to the 'all knowing arrows',
who seemed to know nothing at all actually. Middy followed the direction of their beaks.

Opps wrong way!

About turn...

Passing the reeds, pretty reeds,

The magical sleeping reeds, who you guessed it, induced sleeping...

But, clever Middy avoided the sleeping reeds, to arrive at the castle.

Woof, brave Middy barked, woof, woof, and again woof.

But no one answered...

Perhaps Rapunzel was on a day off from flinging her hair down the castle walls?
Perhaps she didn't speak Middy talk...
Perhaps she didn't live there at all!
Oh! and then it occurred to Middy,
Perhaps it was just a story...

Oh well! Maybe it's time for a bit of fishing :)

Splash!!!

(PS this is where the cleverly disguised fishermen ducks fish)

Chasing Rapunzel was filmed on location in Hillsborough Park, Co Down.
No dogs, ducks or reeds were harmed in the filming of of this story.
Rapunzel has since been located and can be found safely in many pictures and storybooks.
